As the demand that shopping be a fun experience grows stronger every day of this season, so does the opportunity to combine the social and the satorial here in our beautiful Santa Fe. One recent show demonstrated how to get it done, combining gorgeous and unique jewelry with a range of beautiful clothing…all while eating mini cupcakes and sipping champers.
I was thrilled to style the fashion side of the aisle, and include international designers like Ivan Grundhal and Marie Saint Pierre found at Cicada Collection on Gallisteo Street http://cicadacollection.com and also to present Valentina Kova herself as our guest designer with her not-yet-in-stores collection http://valentinakova.com. For the uninitiated, Valentina Kova is the white-hot supreme-quality NYC brand that styles celebrities that include Julianna Moore, along with us other non-redhead mortals:

The Holiday Event was sponsored by Katherine Jetter Jewelry http://katherinejetter.com. If you’ve missed her work in Neiman Marcus, she does private showings here in Santa Fe for clients–and trust me, you want to be one. You can send me chocolates to say thanks. Dark. With caramel. Don’t forget the salt.

The night of the trunk show, Katherine opened her doors to offer not only her amazing range of styles and expert workmanship (not to mention high-voltage shine in the rarest of opals and other stones), but curated a select group of jewelers to accompany her. There were diamonds. Her styles range from the avant-garde to the prettiest of designs. Did I mention the COLORED diamonds? It was as festive as holiday events can be–and the guests enjoyed choosing new additions to the jewelery box and to their closet while making new friends and getting free styling from yours truly. Now THAT was fun…just take a look:

Thanks from all of us to the talented and beautiful Katherine Jetter for allowing us to play dress up the way it was meant to be done…with friends, and plenty of holiday cheer!
