When I first entered Santa Fe’s Weaving Gallery I have to say I was not expecting my pulse to race. I’m not, well, crafty…in the Martha sense of the word. And the word “weaving” was sweat-inducing, bringing back epic-fail memories of the macrame plant holder I attempted in summer camp—confiscated by my counselor as a weapon due to its uncomfortable resemblance to a noose.
But then I went inside Santa Fe Gallery, mainly because I saw they had gorg handbags. And I’m happy to report we are now getting along just wonderfully, especially as it turns out they require no skills on my part, other than my ability to appreciate the stunning and unique fashions on offer…like this little item that will turn you into a Lady in Red faster than you can say big bad wolf…
Thursday, 30 April, through Monday, 4 May, Jill Heppenheimer curates a trunk show of the elegant paper jewelry design of the artist Begoña Rentero from Granada, Spain at Santa Fe Weaving Gallery http://santafeweavinggallery.com/ with an opening reception on Thursday April 30, 10am-1pm.
This jewelry is utterly captivating…and feels like nothing on the body while taking your outfit from hot-mess to hotness instantly. And…JUST IN TIME FOR MOTHER’S DAY!

See you there. I’ll fight you for the bracelet…but I warn you. I have a noose.
